BioKrush

THE PROBLEM

BIOKRUSH™

Biofuel pellets have been in production for many years as a convenient and reliable fuel source suitable for venues such as residential or small scale commercial heating venues. Larger commercial operations looking for alternatives to fossil fuel such as coal, oil, or natural gas may also regard wood pellets as such an option however the true cost of biomass (per ton) via this option can be negatively impacted and distorted as a result of the relative high moisture level found in pellets – primarily due to the large surface area relative to the size of the pellet itself. Under certain conditions, biomass can easily absorb significant levels of moisture between the time of manufacture and their consumption, which will in turn dramatically reduce the efficiency (BTU value) level of pellets as a fuel. In fact, statistical modeling indicates that moisture can easily double your cost of heating.

There is a very strong argument that reducing the risk of high moisture content associated with typical pellet biofuel systems through a more efficient superior design and delivery system will lead to reduced heating costs, and good economic sense.

THE SOLUTION

BIOKRUSH™

BioKrush™ is the first super high capacity industrial sized biomass briquetter. It converts various bioenergy sources into premium, low carbon, biofuel briquettes. Our Bio-Briks™ are sized specifically to meet the unique fuel needs of large industrial and commercial furnaces. And due to design, Bio-Briks™ will absorb far less moisture than pellets made from biomass, thus assisting in stabilization of your heating costs, increasing the BTUs achievable per ton of biomass, and offering a reliable, renewable source of heating fuel.

BioKrush technology utilizes a patent pending toggle drive to compress various low density materials into extremely dense briquettes. Briquettes have a volume of 140 – 500 cubic inches depending on the model and the material being processed. It is also automatically controlled through a touch screen interface. Operators simply load product and push the start button. BioKrush will cycle until it senses the hopper is empty. BioKrush comes in 5 models with production capacities of between 1 and 15 tons of Bio-Briks™ per hour on a continuous basis.

KAN KORP offers a number of equipment options including in-feed and out-feed conveyors, a pre-processing material weighing system and briquette containers.
